Hi Karen,
I also heard of listeria. This is my second pregnancy and I
did not hear about it during the first. I am not sure how
long this information has been out there. I did ask my
doctor about lunch meats and she did not seem to feel
strongly about the issue. She thought that as long as we
are getting these meats from places like Ralph's, Vons and
other big stores that the meat should be fine but if we are
concerned she said to heat up the meat and that would kill
whatever may be lurking in there.
