I have always been very cautious about my kids and fevers.
The doctors have told me in the past to give tylenol and
then two hours later give motrin. I continue this for
stubborn fevers but when my children's temp is over 103 I
will take them to the ER. I have learned to give the fever
atleast 30 minutes to see if it will go down before spending
hours in the ER, but if my child had a temp of 103.9 I would
not bother calling the doctor. I would be on my way to the
    ER.
